I just updated the firmware to 2.01a. I got the most beautiful Nerdseq, the blue one.
I try to record a pitch pattern from the Kilpatrick pattern generator into the nerd seq input 01. I would like to record it on track 01 and then add some tables.
Live input on
Input 1 live on, or input 1 record cv 1, or automate cv I/O,
Then Shift Record= Crash
Maybe it is something I do wrong because it is the first time I try to record something with the Nerdseq. I am not sure of what I am doing really.
Hmm.... can you reproduce it and is it possibly related to your project?
I can't get it crashing with the things set up as you described.
In any way, there should never be a crash situation. Can you maybe share your project please?

Hello,
Thank you for your response, here's my project file, I created a fresh new scene, Now when Input 1 live on, or input 1 record cv 1 it does not crash but if I press play it crash, also it crash automatically if I start the I/O cv in the automate section.
is there's a way to do a factory setting? Maybe that could help,
I am afraid it looks more like a hardware issue. But I will check your file. There is not really a known setting that would get it crash.
I assume your eurorack power ist stable?
Are you using the module for a long time without any issues?

Yes I have a very stable 4ms pod for the Nerdseq
I have been using it for four months now without any major issue exept the input jack. It crash in the past for another reason, but I didn't write down the issue. I will try different setting before shipping it just in case I found something else?

Thank you
Stable 4ms pod doesn't say anything. You need to be sure that you are not reaching or getting close to any limit. Modulargrid is here only a guess but not the real situation.
Before I would take a look at it for a possible repair, I suggest you do some more tests.
One would be that you make a sequence where you change some CV and some MOD values.
Start it and go and stay in the current values screen. You should see the values changing. Now stay there and check out (also after a while) if in any way the characters/words are not drawn correctly or even if it crashes here. With a while I mean up to hours and checking in between.
Also, what are the input voltages that you connect to the CV inputs? The range is here 0-10V.

I have three modules on one pod, no daisy chain. 280 mA +12V / 51mA -12V / 0 mA 5V. is this enough information?
It crashes without any input, just automates cv I/O then play = crash. or shift record (with record setting input 1 cv) = crash.
I was trying a pitch sequence of -1v to +2 volt into the input before it crashed.
I create a project that is running for hours with modulations, patches, tables, fm, everything seems fine. The current values screen seems ok.

One thing is that you put -1 Volt (and probably other) on the input while the input allows only 0-10 Volt.
Does it also crash if you use only positive voltages? (Which you should do anyways)
Also your project doesn't use anything with the inputs. And even if I turn it on like in your picture I can't get it to crash.

I tried a voltage from 2 to 6 volt cv to the input 1. I go to setting record input 1 = cv, press shift record= crash. The same crash with no input cable into input jack 01.
I thought you would found something wrong from my project, it has no input because it was crashing when I tried insert it.

Nothing wrong with the project. It is most probably a hardware issue.
Send me an email so I can see if it can be fixed!
