F8R not received

Hi,

I updated my F8R firmeware to 1.2, Used the online editor to put it as Leader and export settings.
put the jumper and connected a 3way cable ground to ground as seen in this video

But the Ic2 leds from Multi IO is not blinking.
I don't know what I'm missing.

Assuming the Multi-IO is installed and running normally:
- double check the cables (SCL to SCL, SDA to SDA, Gnd to Gnd) and the correct I2C port you want to use.
- Did you enable the I2C Mode for the port -> 16N->NS in the Midi/I2C Setup? (And the good port?) 
- Did you set the Address to the correct one used by the F8R? (31hex I guess)
- Did you restart your F8R after that because all the 16n clones do only scan the I2C bus within 10 seconds after their own startup.
- I am not sure if the F8R uses a 3,3 or 5 volt pullup. Both might work.

I found my problem. I read somewhere cable has to be <20cm mine was above.
I used a 10cm cable and it is all working and configured properly.

Unfortunatly this morning the I2C is not working anymore.
MIDI I/O DEVICE input and encoder are working fine.
I didn't change anything in the setup from when it was working nor moving the cables.
Midi DEVICE input and encoder from MIDI IO are working fine.
I still have:
Midi Expander MULTI-IO
Midi/I2C setup:

• NS->16N 1-16
  
• Hex:31 DEC:49
  

Mapping Setup:
I2C SCCV#0 > TRCK TRK7 EC1
...
I2C SCCV#7 > TRCK TRK7 EC8

Connected the F8R to computer to check it's still on LEADER.
I can order another cable if that would do it but I don't know why it would be a problem. It's a 5cm cable that came with the f8R and connection looks sturdy.
The only thing is it is close to the ALM case power.. in case there would be a problem there with those 3 little wires with no shield I could try to move it around in the case.

It got to be 16n -> NS. Is that probably the issue? And keep in mind after changing these settings the F8R need to be restarted as it doesn't detect the I2C stuff anymore.

I hardly got any issues, especially not with the cables. The main issues I got are limitations with the 16N firmwares (partly behaviour and partly the low-level I2C stack itself) which can always be fixed with restarting the 16n device (F8R is a 16n clone)
