I want to record cv using live input (e.g.1) to the selected CV16 channel.
Is it possible to record CV for every step without inputting a gate at the time where it should be recorded?
For me, every step 1 value recorded would be OK in. In case there is no cv change, no value is needed.
My idea is to use CV out of CV16 to automate VCAs and other parameters by live recording this using a slider with cv out into the live input CV 1. Is this possible without gates to another input (e.g. CV input 2)?
Or is the idea to set up a trigger (e.g. clock) to fire recording, as if the CV values were for single “notes”?
(E.g. feeding the clock into CV2 to get the triggers on every step while recording?)
Recording the step edit using a gate I got to work, but not the continuous live recording on CV16, i have to move with the cursor to select the value and put a gate on to record this step.
Is there maybe a workaround with mapping? Or am I doing something wrong?
I know I can use slew to get smoothing of the value changes, which is nice!
