#1
hi everyone,

Is it possible to randomise which table is chosen for a step via the fx column?

Thanks
Chris

Actually not. The only thing you could do at the moment is to use probabilities for the table column.

Something for the feature requests.

ah ok. thank you for the reply. I would very much like this feature! it would make complex drum programming easier.

Hopefully you will included this feature! then I can finally use Nerdseq instead of Renoise Smile

Hey Thomas,

I know you put this in the latest firmware, but could you tell me how I get it to work?

I'm unsure how to tell it to play a random table at a point I choose, from the selection of tables I have created...

Sorry for all these questions, but I just received the Nerdseq and am trying to use it a lot Smile

You can't make a selection of random values.
There is a randomize next FX as a FX command and if you put a table underneath it, a random table will be chosen.
Or you can connect the FX column to an automator and depending on your setting you could generate a kind of range for the tables.
At last you could get randomization through 5 tables using the probability settings.
Put a table to the table column and 4 other different tables in the 4 fx columns. Add probability to table and to the 4 FX columns. They will now run different tables based on probability. Downside here is that several tables can begin to start until it gets to the table which stays to play.
