"More flexible Mark" and "Groove-presets"
#1
What I would think will be a nice thing to add to all the niceness, is two things...

1). A more flexible "Mark"ing of things. To speed up the workflow even more.

When for example I am at the bottom of a 64-step sequence, and I want to select that whole 64-steps... I first have to scroll all the way up, then use "Mark" and scroll all the way down again.
Is it possible to mark something starting at the bottom? Or From Right to Left?

When on a Trigger16 track:
I would like to be able to just select ("Mark") for example just trigger 1 and 2... and not trigger 3~16.
That would (I think) speed up the workflow a lot, when creating beats. And in combination with the Euclidean-shizzle will let you create some wicked beats in no-time.

---------------------------

What I think will also be a nice addition to all funkyness, and real handy for live-set situations:

2). Groove Presets
The possibility to save your groove/swing settings and then switch between them with some kind of key-combo.
This would then take affect at the first "Live-quantise-Step". This way you can change a groove when preforming, without loosing sync with all the rest of the tracks, patterns, external clocks, MIDI-clocks and what not.

1: Mark all is already there. Manual Page 38: "use SHIFT+DOWN to mark all" and i think it came by here in the forum as well a couple of times.
As for the drummatrix marking, i currently not support it as the drummatrix is one column basically. It would need quite some work and i think they are more important things to do for now. It is on the 2do list though.

2: On my list already. But no key combo, i try to avoid them as much as possible.

Okay, then maybe my example is somewhat unlucky. What if I have an 32-step sequence I want to mark? Or 24-steps? Or for example: Say I have just finished programming 16-steps, with Notes, Triggers, 4xFX and a Groove... It takes me about 42 key strokes away from copying it into memory. If you could select from bottom-right to top-left, it would have been about halve the keystrokes.

And sorry if it was discussed earlier on the forum, I have used search, but might have input the wrong words.

Hmmm, One column you say... What about the euclidean-mode then? And shifting triggers up and down one at the time? But that might be a technical thing that seems the same for noobs like me, but actually isn't. I get that.

This is just me being curious. If it's a long explanation, please use your time for better things like RC3 Wink

And I like it alot that it is on the 2do-list.

Nice! And again sorry if it was discussed earlier.

Next time please just answer my stupid questions with simple abbreviations, like: RTFM! Wink

No, just 2 keystrokes away. SHIFT+MARK + DOWN (not cursor down) or SHIFT+MARK and then SHIFT+DOWN. Works both and is a direct mark all command from all positions!

They are some threads about this and about why i have limited columns available. Mostly a memory thing because this is a pure embedded system and no fancy Gigabyte computer. It is possible but it takes work and there is still so much to do for me.

...busy with RC3 as we speak.

But that is again for the whole pattern.

What if I only want to select a small selection of a pattern?
For example I want this selection:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GsozVY0...sp=sharing

And then copy that To The beginning of the pattern, but I want the last 32-steps of the pattern to stay the same.
Copying the whole pattern would overwrite the last 32-steps.

Ps. I'm not nagging you for this feature or anything, it not as flexible, but it is totally workable as it is! But am trying to get my idea/problem  explained as well as I can... In EnglischH

I agree, the ability to begin a Mark from the bottom of the selection would be great.  say the cursor is on line 09, and I want to mark from line 09 to line 02- instead of navigating to line 02, hitting Shift+Mark, THEN back down to line 09, I'd like to hit Shift+Mark at 09, then expand the Mark area up to 02.

another mark issue, i thought id just post in this thread instead of staring another:

Why can i not mark ONLY the FX value parameter, not including the effect type?
I want to only randomize the FX parameter and keep the FX type as is. right now when i try to mark just the fx parameter it also marks the fx type.

This to avoid illegal values. If you mark these and choose random, then you get random values. So it will stay like this. FX type+value belong together. I think i probably directly let them match so both are always marked.

A post from 2020. I never implemented it and I guess if it is needed anyways since there is a swing setting. Keeping the while thing in sync while changing everything is quite a challenge. They are many more features added with marking etc since 2020 and I guess if these requests are still
needed.
