Sequencer Pairings?

Hi there, are you using the nerdseq with some other sequencer? or quantizer / other module pairing with nerdseq?

i thought about pairing it with a mutable marbles to get some more hands on random / chaos involved and fast melodies. maybe use it as master clock to have a  knob for main BPM. what do you think about it?

yeah I use Nerdseq to clock other sequencers from patterns (Metropolis, AD Seq1, Trigger Riot, Grids) and send out triggers to change switches, and CV outs to change sounds/settings.

I'd love for nerdseq to have more random inbuilt, but for now its a great master controller

The hands on and process related aspects are the reasons that I choose the sequencers that I choose.

I use a Stepper Acid to create certain kinds of lines. It is quick to work with and encourages an experimental button mash, then refine, approach. I sometimes transcribe the Stepper Acid patterns into NerdSeq when I have designed them. It looks like the NerdSeq Portable will be able to work in this way, which is really cool.

Analogue Solutions Generator+ can be played through NerdSeq and have its voltages recorded into NerdSeq patterns. Obviously, this would work for any analogue voltage sequencer. This is cool because it gives me a hands on analogue approach, but the voltages can be quantised within NerdSeq before they go to the oscillators. This is a very quick, powerful and intuitive way to work.

I do sometimes use my Varigate 8+ in conjunction with the NerdSeq, because it is easier for me to intuitively create more interesting rhythms (ratchets, etc).

I've struggled with getting the swing feel that I want using NerdSeq, so I'm looking into forthcoming the FLUX Temporal Modulation Rhythm Sequencer. I am interested in using one of its channels as a clock input to NerdSeq. I think that it can output large numbers of triggers per step (24ppqn?). This would allow for complex and evolving swings and temporal modulations. The other channels of the Flux would be available for regular complex polyrhythms.
