Start Automator with CV16 FX

I've set up an LFO to be routed to the CV16 CV11 output, and want to start it from a CV16 track FX - but can't figure out how.

Also, what are all the FX that reference A-H?

You can use the ASLx FX command to start/stop and change automator parameters.

A-H are 8 possibilities to change the values. All the same for now but they will make sense when I introduce patches also for these. Then you can change 8 things at the same time. (more indeed because if you have 8 notes and 8 CV/modulation values you can change all by just one patch call.

Me again. So, the manual says:

ASL0..ASL7 → Automator settings for Automator slots 0 ..7. Here you can change
manipulate all automator settings for each slot. Depending on which type of
automator you assigned to a slot you can change the value. The 3 Value digits have
special functions as following:
X00, The first digit (X) is the function of the automator, so if you for example
assigned a LFO to this automator, the first digit is being used to decide which LFO
setting should be changed. ( eg: Start,Stop, Reset, Speed, Offset, Invert, Amplitude
etc..). The 2nd 2 digits 0XX is for the value (scaled to 255 values).

How do I know what to program to say, start Automator 0, that I have set to an LFO? ASL0?FF for example. The 'tooltip' just says 'Effect'.

Right. They is no explanation in the statusfield with the CV expander. I will add that. But check the same command with a normal modular track. These have the explanation.
