Gamepad stoped working

Hi,

New user here only been using Nerdseq for two weeks.. I bought it with the midi expander and got a 6button gamepad from retro-bits.. 
I’ve been able to use the controller up until yesterday, now it’s not responding at all I’ve looked through the settings (gamepad on etc.) and also looked at the mapping but it is not responding. 

One thing of note is that I’ve never been able to use the xyz and mode buttons which is odd.. 

Any tips as to get this to work again would be awesome since I really enjoy using the nerdseq with a gamepad

that doesn't sound too good. Can you please try to reconnect all connector-cables? Did you maybe hot-plugged the gamepad? Is there no reaction at all or only parts that work?

More users reported that the retro-bits controller has problems with XYZ. I got one then and mine works well (together with the originals).
I hopefully get a non completely working one soon.
But for your problem, try to reconnect everything. Don't hotplug expanders or the gamepad.

If nothing works, please contact me directly so we can find out if it is a hardware issue.

I’m not sure what hot plugging means, maybe you could iterate into that?

Hot plugging means connecting/disconnecting while the device is running.

Make sure your controller is plugged in before you power on the NerdSeq.

Ok. 

I did not hot plug. Midi Works for me. So im sondering if it is the controller... i have no way of verifying this though
