I looked pretty carefully to see if someone else posted this and I can't believe I didn't find it. Maybe you can already do it and I don't understand how? It looks to me like I can only record the sequencer values in the sample tracks.
I would think I would be able to record audio directly into the Nerdseq and save it in one of the sample slots. The workflow of going to a computer is kind of a drag.
I finally found another post where you said it isn't possible because they are DC coupled and the chip (or something) isn't suited well for this.
I really think you should reconsider the expander for recording audio input. The functionality of those two tracks are really limited without that.

I can only imagine the amount of dev work, not to mention the issue of the ADCs and <200KB of sample memory to work with, that it would take to provide a good sampling and sample editing experience.
What would help a lot with the existing sample management loop (along with other scenarios,) though, would be the ability to safely eject the sd card and remount it without powering down the NerdSEQ around those operations. It doesn’t much appreciate this being done right now. :/

The removal of the SD card is a hardware thing with the first revision. (it was never made to be hotplugged but as a in system integrated sd-memory)
This is fixed and usually even though not recommended you can eject the sd card (it is always safe to eject it if it is not loading/saving currently initiated by the user or sequence) and put it back and it will work again with the first or 2nd try (sometimes you got to try again as remounting takes some time and it times out then).
Anyway, indeed the inputs are only unipolar and so one would need to add a offset so the samples input voltage would be within 0 and 10 volt with the middle point at 5 volt.
And it would actually be theoretical possible to sample then from one input. But the lack of further editing, the short sample time and the effort it would take to implement is in my opinion not worth it. Further to mention a missing input gain functionality, sample quality. Some things are just not designed to be everything.
I don't agree actually that the 2 sample tracks are useless then. It still can play, manipulate your samples (build a good sample library on the sd card) and being oscillators, FM synth etc... or else sequence pitches and notes or fire envelopes from it.
There is no sample expander planned. That would be a project on it's own and there is definitely no time in my schedule for that.
