Pattern plays twice on starting a row

Hey Thomas,
I have midi setup on TRK 6 and when I use my "invented" row start command (Shift + 2 x Start) first pattern plays 2 times before starting next pattern.
If I start the TRK with "Start" or "Shift & Start" it plays 1 time and starts next pattern as expected.
I'm thinking.......this is not documented so is something I should probably avoid If I want to keep patterns in sync.
Anyways thought this might be useful information.
cheers

Shift + OK Function in SFX column

I really like that currently in the MOD column using Shift + OK will not only swap values to notes, but also skip halfway up the value scale as well. I would actually really like this function in the FX column where it would do something similar, for example cycle between 000 -> 800 -> FFE.
Thanks!!

Extended randomisation within scale

Hi,
Would be great to have additional randomisation per step. Eg- on this step pick a random note from the set scale (once scales are possible). This scale should be applied to tables too so within a sequence you can have fast arpeggios in key on specific steps.
This along, with probability and randomised tables, would allow great generative sequencing.

When I'm programming long sequences sometimes I find that the start point should be on another step than 00 and need to wrap around the pattern up or down. Could you please consider this request if there are still some key combos available?
Thanks!

Hi everyone.
I have the nerdseq for a few weeks and found it very deep.
I have a request like when pre-listening the notes at pattern screen why MOD out does not set to the step value?
It will make setting specific values to mod out easier like selecting model at plaits, or splice at morphagene etc.
Maybe firing a short trigger will also help to program the pattterns.

Not sure if some of these are in the new firmware, but I had a think on a few features which could be handy.
- Assignable velocity or aftertouch via MOD output? Would be nice to use if I intend to use a channel as a MIDI/CV converter.
- The ability to include the expander triggers/CV as FX commands, similar to how you can use current channels. Would allow for using the FX lanes as a trigger area for the expanders without the need to assign a track/the need for extra tracks.
- The ability to "type in" a note via MIDI or CV at a given position while in record mode. At the moment it's only at the first step. Would really help in making precise melodies VERY quickly. Could work for MOD/FX lanes too.
- The ability to change the MIDI channels of channels 1-6, and to have MIDI control of channels 7/8

Is this happening to anybody else?
Sometimes samples on the 2nd channel of a sample track don't trigger.
It's like it develops a "blind" spot - usually from a certain point in the pattern til the end.
Also if you do something like BRK 0000 in the "blind spot", it just keeps playing straight past it.
If you put the same pattern in the other sample track, the same thing happens.
I haven't quite worked out what causes it yet, but I think it has something to do with marking and pasting.
Here's a video that shows it ignoring a BRK 0000 command, and then when I remove the BRK command it ignores the notes that follow.

Midi Tuning Standard (MTS) Support

Would really like to see the ability to apply a MTS tuning scale to a track output, for microtonal scales. (CV only - midi would be a lot more work).
This would just mean altering the Midi Note -> Pitch Voltage lookup. The MTS file is part of the 1.0 midi spec and well documented.
The files are not large and could easily be stored on the SD card.
A separate tuning for each track would be optimum, but that would mean a lookup table for each note track. If that's too much, one tuning for all tracks would still be very useful. Just use the MTS file to re-write the Midi Note -> Voltage table and it's done. (Assuming there's a table and you're not doing voltage calculations for each note, that is).
Anyway I've been working in Alternate tunings for a bit now and the Nerdseq has been neglected because of the lack of this feature. Which makes me sad. I know you mentioned a while back on the muff's thread that you'd look at this but it would not be a high priority. But it is important, to me at least (and others - microtonality is growing in popularity and new hardware from Novation, Korg and DSI all have it), and AFAICT it's not technically hard to do - the MTS file parsing is probably the most time consuming part of the whole business to write. So I think it's worth a thread on here.
