VAR>RW00 and the constant is the way to go.
But I see the issue here (as in a little bug). If applied on the same row it is not passing the value to the destination. Use any row for now other than the one you are on or a variable and it'll be fine. Like this:
00 VAR>RW40>#000 > MCON .....
