Hmm yes tables are designed to be tied to the mainclock or free running and mainly to manipulate whats going on in the pattern, not the other way around (even though they are surely possibilities these days).
You could use the mappings to manipulate the tables clock but I am not sure if you get the exact result that you seek for.
