There is analog joysticks and paddles for atari (and c64) look for example at the mssiah cart for c64, implements the potx/poty registers of the sid chip (adc) iirc 50kohm pots in the paddle controllers... (however, if the relevant pins on the midi expander aren’t connected to some adc or something, it cant be implemented)
