Installation was smooth
Global transpose update - giving good visual feedback
Playing with tables in Modular, Trigger 16 and MiDi tracks working really well so far. I did notice the following which may need some minor tweak.
New Table in Modular track transpose column is titled TRG.
New Table in Trigger 16 track transpose column is titled TPS.
New Table in MIDI track transpose column is titled TRG.

Ah yes! Will be fine with the next RC or Final Release! Thanks

(This post was last modified: 08-14-2025, 10:07 PM by chasing_ghosts.)
Just installed and have only had time for a very quick play. Installation of main and video expander firmware was seamless.
I'm using a Sega Gamepad, and I seem to be running into issues with the buttons not registering when using shaders. I initially set the "Video Mode -> Cue" to "1DEFAULT", and after that the only buttons registered from the gamepad are "Play" and the cursor buttons. I can't seem to stop playback or change any settings in the menu from that point (using the gamepad), even if I stop the shader using the main device buttons.
(Oh, and the menu option for "Video Mode -> Cue" seems to have an extra space in the "- >" arrow. I think that's a typo!)
For reference: I have remapped the buttons on the gamepad from their defaults, but I don't think that that's the problem!
I'm still very inexperienced with NerdSEQ, so apologies if I this is user error rather than an actual bug! Excited to dig into this update more, but that was what came up straight away!

Hmm, can you make a photo of your gamepad settings?

Thanks. I can't reprocude the issue. I configured the gamepad like yours and it keeps working properly as expected.
Was that your first start (no power recycle after installing?) or did you hotplug anything? USB keyboard connected?

How strange. I tried this several times last night to make sure before reporting it, but I can't reproduce it now either! Maybe a glitch somewhere that was fixed by a reboot.
For reference: - HDMI out from the More Video-IO
- Also have a Multi-IO and a Dualchord connected
- No hotplugging, no other devices currently connected.
- Using an 8bitdo M30 2.4g gamepad plugged into a wireless receiver on the Sega Gamepad Expander. (Never had any problems with the gamepad/receiver in the past.)
I'll keep a look out for a repeat of this behaviour if it happens in the future. Thanks for the quick response, and sorry to waste your time!

If that happens you can try to press SEQUENCER+AUTOMATOR+STOP on the NerdSEQ at the same time. It might help and does point to possible 'stuck' buttons.
Check the manual on page 207 about that.

what's the best way to troubleshoot or provide more info for an "UPDATE FAILED" message for the Video expander? I've tried a few different (confirmed empty) sd cards with the expander and have been careful plugging in the ribbons on the back but haven't been able to get past the error.
I also noticed before this that trying to change any settings on on video expander couldn't save and would result in a "Fail" message.

Both cables, the 14 pin and the 12pin must be inserted properly from the VEX to the NerdSEQ.
Maybe the 14 pin cable is not good anymore? Surely try both slots (and never ever hotplug as that can kill things)
Also the video expander must be working already, the original firmware should be on the VEX SD Card (not sure if you copied everything).
Other things to consider: power supply and worst case a hardware issue with either the VEX or the NerdSEQ.
I assume a USB Keyboard is also not working then?
