Odd slider behavior using Sweet Sixteen to Host port of MIDI-IO

I have Sweet Sixteen going to Host port of MIDI-IO expander. All sliders light green on MIDI-IO Host LED when moved, except for slider #8. When Slider #8 is moved, the Host LED on MIDI-IO instead lights orange. No cables are plugged into slider #8 I/O on S16. Slider #8 is also not used in Mappings. This occurs with all projects.

Have I enabled something to get this behavior? Not sure why slider #8 is behaving differently.

Oddly, if I also have Touchpad connected to Host port via hub, slider #8 enables ‘F: Stop’ (lights red) when > 0.

You probably got the launchpad mode enabled and it reacts on midi channel 1. If the S16 is set to channel 1 as well then the cc messages could be recognized as launchpad commands.
Set the S16 to another midi channel and it should be fine. 
The Launchpad can’t be set to work with another Midi channel.

Hmm, but why would the Host LED on MIDI-IO expander flash orange instead of green when slider #8 is moved, when all other sliders flash green? Even with the Launchpad disconnected?

It receives data and sends launchpad data back. The slidermove means probably some lauchpad button press.

You’re absolutely right. Setting Launchpad to OFF indeed makes Slider #8 go back to green on the Host LED of MIDI-IO. I’ll look into changing the MIDI channel on S16. Thank you kindly!
