So, let's talk about audio file format
#1
Hi all!
short thread, just wanted to know what are the audio file format that are read by the Nerdseq....
I'v noticed that in the memory card, the stock samples are .RAW unsigned...
But, as i was watching the firmware thread, i noticed that file compatibility seemed to be enhanced.

so, finally, what are the format supported?
And, most of ll, what kind of software do u use to make sample conversions?

Thanks Smile

from the list of changes firmware V1.18 (RC1) :
"Updated: Removed support for 24bit and 32bit Wavefiles. All standard PCM (non compressed) 8/16 bit Mono/Stereo wavefiles are supported."

i use audacity to convert samples to RAW, works good and it´s free...

I use goldwave and I batch process all my samples so they maximize their volume w/o clipping and then snip all the silence off the samples, finally converted to 8bit mono. I was struggling getting my sample blocks to fill all 12 slots without running out of space and I don't like how muddy/crunchy the samples get when you double the speed/pitch and then octave down in NerdSeq.

And thats why you can replace all sample slots on the fly now while sequencing... Smile
PLEASE use the search function if something have been asked or discussed before.
Every (unnessesary) forum support means less time to develop! But of course, i am here to help!  Smile

Yes, the new feature makes this process mostly obsolete!
