start playback from current row inside pattern
#1
It would be nice if there was a way to start playback from the current row inside the pattern editor, rather than from the first row every time.

You could use the BRK / JUMP TO function on the first step in the sequence for this I think.

I don't want to permanently start on a certain row, but rather be able to actually start playback from the current row. If I'm writing a 64 step pattern with a note on step 32, and I make change to that note, I either have to wait 64 steps to hear the note sound again, or I could stop/start playback from row 1 and wait 32 steps for it to trigger. I I could stop play back and start it on step 32 after making a change, I could hear the change immediately.

Not sure how that could work. If just the pattern you're looking at is restarted at step 32, the pattern would be out of synchronization (rotated) with respect to the other patterns that are playing. If you restart all the patterns at step 32, what happens if another pattern doesn't have 32 steps? Where would it start?

For sure possible, but don't know yet how to practically implement it.
I guess this is only for editing purposes, so it doesn't matter if it starts in sync on step 1 of other sequences?
PLEASE use the search function if something have been asked or discussed before.
Every (unnessesary) forum support means less time to develop! But of course, i am here to help!  Smile

Yes, that's correct.
