increment / decrement all marked values

this seems kinda counter intuitive.. why not just have a second click of the mark button select all. rather than shift down? which would free up the shift UP/DOWN for incrementing/decrementing multiple values..

2nd mark = exit mark mode and copy into clip board

ah right. well there must be a better solution than having to go menu diving to change multiple values simultaneously..  nerdseq has 16 buttons!... 
a DMG only has 7.. and you can do it in lsdj.. if you select say some notes in a pattern and hold A.. you can transpose all of the selected notes up and down using the dpad..

Sorry but menu diving is a different thing. You don’t have to jump from one to another menu etc. This is on a top level and one button away.
I am not a friend of weird shortcuts and I am not planning to introduce them. They are very few exceptions and it must be worth the effort and added complexity.

But I never intended to mimic LSDJ or any other gear but more a wider variety of trackers (and I used a lot of them), non tracker sequencers and my own ideas combined with state of the art functionality. They are multiple things I intentionally wanted to make different than in LSDJ. I don't really care about the two other hardware trackers, they have a different philosophy and so different implementations of stuff. (I own them both and they are both great in their own way)

Just to get back to the transpose shortcuts...they are enough other functions that would deserve the same way of shortcuts then and this is just impossible (clocks, pattern order etc...). And since these functionalities are available, I prefer to focus on functions that are not available yet.

I concede.. it's your software, your choice..  but not having this basic editing functionality just means i wont and dont use nerdseq as much as i would otherwise.

I concede.. it's your software, your choice..  but not having this basic editing functionality just means i wont and dont use nerdseq as much as i would otherwise.

Let me just say I *very often* want to mark a couple of values and increment/decrement the marked values.
I very rarely, if ever, need to mark all values.

Maybe the "mark all" could be a different combo. In a year of use I have so far not even tried to find a "mark all" feature but I've instinctively tried to increment/decrement all values because it seems like it should function that way.

If more people could chime in on their usage, I wouldn't want ask to change a function a lot of users are committed to.

Whilst being able to quickly change values with the cursor buttons would be a nice idea it's not too hard to use the nerd menu really.
What would be super useful though is to be able to change values other than notes (triggers, mod values etc.)
Increment/decrement and interpolate (fill in values between any settings on steps) would be amazing for mod values especially.
It might be a bit difficult dealing with triggers however as the values will eventually change into retriggers/ratchets/delayed etc.
Maybe if it changed within the group/type of trigger being used?
I'm not even considering FX due to the complexity of values that are able to be set.

Obviusly I can hear the changes but it's still a bit like "flying blind" if you get my meaning...

I think more feedback is good.

And I agree I could definitely live with the nerdmenu for this, but for one) it does slow down workflow slightly and two) you can't see the changes, as stated.

I'm not sure either about how trigger and FX columns ought to be affected, but Note/volume/mod columns are simpler.
FX columns should probably not be affected at all, it's just too much.
Trigger columns I could see being affected within that sort of trigger (20 ms trigger -> 25 ms trigger, or 2 tick gate -> 3 tick gate).

But maybe trigger/FX could be left for later because they'd clearly require some extra finesse in implementation.

The thing that you don't see changes is a known issue. But there is also no real satisfying solution for it. If I would return to the pattern screen so you can see the changed values then you could only change one thing and would have to return again. And I am not only talking about transposing.
Also if I would leave the menu in front and change the values behind..depending on where the cursor is you wouldn't see the values either.

The transpose change which applies for not only for the notes will be also applied to other fields (even for FX if marked) in an update. A shortcut for only transposition is still not enough in my opinion. There should be also shortcuts for other effects then.
