Gate On (FE) not recorded from input

I have in input / record setup:

Input 1 Record > Gate 4
Track 4 set to modular.

Record in pattern screen of track 4 only records Gate Off “00”… but does not record Gate On “FE”.

After recording from Arcadian Rhythms, Marbles sending gate On does not get recorded. Only “00” exists in TR column.

If you want to record triggers you better use input record triggers instead. Is your input calibration correct?
I remember that people could record properly with these settings and correct calibration

I’d like to record gate on / off.

After auto calibrating the inputs and everything appearing ‘OK’ there, the issue still reproduces… only recording gate off “00”.

Testing with Arcadian Rhythms, which is a simple arcade button on/off, going to any input the behavior is the same.

Also repro’d by taking Trig Out 4 to input 1.

On record, TRG4 0FE & TRG4 000 only records 00 to TR column.

Okay, I think I narrowed it down to only the ‘GATE’ items being problematic when selected for Input Record.

Input 1 Record > ‘GATE 4’ only records ‘00’ in track 4 pattern.

Input 1 Record > CV Note+Gate 4
Input 2 Record > ^TR/GT DLY 0ms^
… records ‘FE’ & ‘00’ perfectly into track 4 pattern.
