Hi Forum,
I have been playing around with sequencing 3 tracks with 3 notes and gates/mods per track (i.e. 9 notes and mods in total). The track setup is like this:
Track 1: ext CV 1-6 (notes and gates/mods alternating)
Track 2: ext CV 7-12 (notes and gates/mods alternating)
Track 3: ext CV 13-16, ext CV 5-6 (notes and gates/mods alternating)
Obviously ext CV 5 and 6 were allocated twice. For the time being I don't care and meanwhile I changed those two tracks to local CV 6/local mod 6.
The strange behaviour I encountered was with the double allocation of ext CV 5-6.
All 3 tracks have patterns in all sequencer rows from 00 to 0F.
Here is what happened:
I played the whole 3 tracks starting from sequencer row 00 and in row 02 Track 3 missed out on a couple of notes.
Tried again from 00 and again the notes were missing.
Then played Track 3 alone from row 02 and the notes were there.
Then played Track 3 alone from row 00 and the notes were there.
Now played all tracks from row 02 and the notes were there.
Going back one row and played all tracks from row 01 and the notes were there.
Going back one row and played all tracks from row 00 and the notes were missing.
Went into track setup, loaded calibration data, moved the cursor around a bit and played all tracks from row 00 again and all notes were there. From here on I have not been able to make the notes disappear during playback again.
I switched off my modular in case it is an initial setup issue but so far the problem did not reappear. I also have changed the double allocation of ext CV 5-6 as described above.
I have no idea wether the loading of calibration data for the CV16 had anything to do with it but I thought I'd report the whole thing in case someone else stumbles across something similar.
Kind regards,
Michael
