  Jumping to next island
Posted by: fingerfarbensound - 11-01-2019, 04:19 PM - Forum: General Questions - No Replies

Quick question regarding the jump to row effect:
Is is possible to have some sort of relative addressing?
Like for instance jump x rows ahead/backwards?
Or even better like jump to the next, next after, previous, etc.. "island" of patterns?

Music Nerdseq + Launchpad + ER-301
Posted by: ianski - 10-31-2019, 01:21 PM - Forum: Your Setup - No Replies

Such a cool combo!  Heart

Had my first experience with the launchpad last night - I worked it out after reading the firmware release notes *properly*
(I thought my launchpad was buggy but it was user error as usual  Rolleyes)

Everything seems to work as it should, and in fact I find using the launchpad more powerful than using the module.
The ability to add / remove triggers quickly, and the "jump to next pattern immediately" are both super features.
I never used mute & solo before, now with the launchpad this is a breeze and will get a lot of use I'm sure.
The only thing is that the launchpad needs both the midi in and out connected so I can't sequence any other midi devices
(or maybe I can using a thru or merge unit... something to experiment with perhaps).

The future i2c expander looks like a dream come true for the ER-301 so really looking forward to that.

I'll wait until XOR does his own launchpad thread before suggesting features etc.
In the meantime I'm having a lot of fun with this setup.

  I2C Expander
Posted by: XORadmin - 10-30-2019, 02:49 PM - Forum: NerdSEQ Expanders - Replies (119)

On request of many people and especially ER-301 users i intergrated I2C functionality into the NerdSEQ.

If you don't know what it is, it makes it possible to control other modules without using patchcables. Sounds rather limited, but just imagine that you can control more functions at the same time than they are patch inputs. Or you don't lose multiple outputs if you want to control multiple features.

This is still of course a prototype, but it seems to work well. I included the drum-matrix to control via I2C now, but of course much more is possible.

A simple insta-video below:

In the middle the expander prototype which is connected to the ER-301 through 3 simple lines on the backside.

  Question of probability
Posted by: OcttisTony - 10-29-2019, 04:44 PM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (2)

Hi all, Im Nerdseqer beginner, some doubt of probability cv,
firmware v.1.19

when i set probability cv when the note on & trig is on , but when probability cv skin the note, the trig is also on,

i already set auto trig in global setting, is also same this problem, i am eager to be when probability cv skin note and trig is also skin,

now i can use FX killXXX note can do like this (but it just a similar result),

hope to know it is my setting problem or another way can solve it? Huh

my purpose is to do probability cv can probability CV + Trigger together, when on & on, Off & Off,

  Clocking alternatives
Posted by: Holon Mundi - 10-29-2019, 07:39 AM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (5)

I'm having trouble finding a good way to clock the Nerdseq in Bitwig using audio. My audio interface has no midi output and even if I could create some workaround by using a Keystep in between, it's not a good and lasting solution. I would love to see a setting for how Nerdseq interprets the incoming clock such as divisions and multiplications. Same goes for the clock and reset outputs. I have recorded the triggers from Nerdseq and  time stretched it to fit and it's a pain to work with.

  Which Launchpad ?
Posted by: cavimaster - 10-28-2019, 10:42 AM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (13)

Hi here!

I'm a little confused with the compatibility between the Nerdseq and the launchpad ...

I would like to try but I do not know which launchpad can we use: the mini? mkI? mkII? pro?
How to connect MIDI nerdseq because there is only USB on launchpad no?

Thanks for the help

  n:m step probability
Posted by: jingo - 10-27-2019, 07:58 AM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (6)

Hello,

is there already a way to achieve n:m probability for steps?
Most sequencers have this options in the probabilities after the % probabilities (elektron, erica synths drum sequencer, midibox v4+ just to name a few), but I could not find a way to do this.

Any help is appreciated Smile,
thx,
jingo

  More Trigger 16 Questions.
Posted by: T3t_one - 10-25-2019, 11:07 AM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (1)

Hallo, is clock division/multiplication for each channel of the Triggers 16 ever going to be possible?

Also would it possible to have a Reset for each 1-16 channel in the FX column?, for polyrhythms without having to use main 1-6 triggers.

Idea stems from 1.20 RC5  Euclidean update. Thank you.

  Drumsequencer with Midi Notes
Posted by: mi_sprinzl@yahoo.de - 10-24-2019, 04:40 PM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (3)

Hi I have a question. Is it possible to map triggers to midi notes. I found this, but i find this taking away HP. I would be nice to have the drum sequencer with a midi or hybrid mode.
I use my old Emu 6400 for generating drums. do not want to fill my rack with none tonal shaping drum stuff.
