Sorry to bug you,
Marizu

Hello,

First of all thanks for this wonderful sequencer, just getting into it and already in love Smile

I can't find much documentation about how the groove works. The manual says :

Quote:Groove changes the amount of substeps per pattern step. 6 is a normal and preset value
but finer resolutions can be generated by higher values. Also a shuffle/groove effect can be
created by changing the groove in a interval eg. 5/7/5/7/5/6. Also you can let the different
patterns run away from each other by using different groove settings.

Could someone explain to me what it exactly does to the notes/triggers ?
For example what 6 substeps means exactly rythmicly speaking ?

Can’t figure out how to set patterns groove to get triplets grid
Any ideas?
Want it to make psytrance style bass uuuh
Thanks

Yeah got it
Groove values must set all to 4, last step of pattern must be 47 to ensure perfect sync
Perfect triplets

I also found this explaination for a triplet example, why should it end by 47 to ensure perfect sync ?

I would like to be able to recreate subtles and strong grooves like the different ones in the MPC for example.

Thanks Smile

Sending midi to a midi track
Posted by: SB-SIX - 10-15-2019, 10:27 PM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (5)

Sorry, another question, but I'm almost done with all my questions :Smile

When sending midi (from external keyboard) to a midi track, it does not trigger the midi notes. It does record the notes and plays them back once recorded, but you can't hear them while playing. On modular tracks the midi data is directly converted to cv/gate. Can this also be done for midi tracks?

Inserting an empty row in the sequencer?
Posted by: SB-SIX - 10-14-2019, 08:54 AM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (2)

When in a pattern, it's easy to add an empty row and move the rest of the data down with shift + down + delete. This does not seem to work in the sequencer screen. What would be the easiest way to insert blank rows in between other rows?

Reset track FX does not reset clock?
Posted by: SB-SIX - 10-13-2019, 11:14 AM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (2)

When setting the SCLK value to something different than regular (009), it keeps that clock division on other patterns, even after a reset track fx command using the nerd button or SPFX 00A or SPFX 00B. Is that as expected?

  Clock step editing
Posted by: DMAK - 10-13-2019, 10:51 AM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (4)

Hi,

Is there a way to edit the 64 clock step displayed on the seq screen (i.e 46 steps) ?
Do I miss something ?

Cheers

  Midi expander
Posted by: theotteryears - 10-09-2019, 08:47 PM - Forum: NerdSEQ Expanders - Replies (2)

Hey Thomas,

What ribbon cable do I need to connect the Nerdseq to the midi expander?

The one supplied is not long enough for where I need it in my case... could you tell me where you got the cable from and I will see if I can get a longer one.

Thanks,
Chris

  record OFF THE GRID
Posted by: Blogic12 - 10-05-2019, 09:29 PM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (3)

the ability to record midi/cv/gate off the grid by having a record mode where it would automatically set the gate/step delay as your playing so your notes can fall in-between the steps/grid.

  DIN SYNC mis-reports BPM
Posted by: Kid Yoshi - 10-03-2019, 02:59 PM - Forum: Beauty and less important bugs/glitches - Replies (1)

I’m using a DIN-SYNC cable and my 90bpm project displays as 500bpm in the Nerdseq.

It runs and plays correctly however, so appears to be purely cosmetic.
