Mirror/Duplicate CV or MOD to CV16
Posted by: xavierxeon - 02-20-2023, 07:30 AM - Forum: NerdSEQ Expanders - Replies (2)

I want to send pitch to an oscilator and a filter from the nerdesq (say on track 1).

Is it possible to have one CV16 output mirror or duplicate the CV1 output, without copying the note values? (I know that the easiest solution is to use stack cables or multiplier modules)

nerd menu track clock option (using another channel's gate as clock source)
Posted by: Blogic12 - 02-19-2023, 06:03 PM - Forum: Feature requests - No Replies

I would like to see an option in the track clock selection to use another channels gate output as a clock source.

For example, i have a pattern going on channel 1, and a pattern on channel two is set to use channel one's gate as a clock source, so it only advances whenever channel 1 fires a gate.

This could create some more interesting possibilities for ways two sequences/channels could interact/effect each other and i think would be really fun to play with.

Question for the more philosophically oriented here:
Posted by: Friend of Dogs - 02-18-2023, 07:50 PM - Forum: Everything Else - Replies (4)

Chip shortage issues aside: Is it ethical for companies to announce gear with out a scheduled release date?

I see companies like LZX promise a 1200 dollar module, taking pre orders with no real promised release date, then jump the price to 1600 and continue to not have a proper release date.

What do you think? What are some possible problems this could cause the musicians?

Can you think of other examples like this?

CV I/O in the Automator screen
Posted by: visti - 02-12-2023, 11:38 AM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (9)

Hi, I'm trying to route a fader to control FX probability using the Automator screen, but no matter what I do, the CV inputs don't seem to affect the Automator.

I've set up CV I / O in slot 0 and I've set the source to In 1. Then I set my track (7) to FX2 Probability, but it doesn't seem to do anything to the probability. I also feel like I remember people saying that you could see the input reflected in the bar on the Automator screen, but nothing happens. I've wired my fader to Input 1 and I've also tried with an LFO from a different source and nothing seems to happen in the Automate screen.

If I go to my Input / Record Setup and turn on live input and set Input 1 Live to transpose, for example, it works fine.

I feel like I'm missing something basic like enabling the inputs to be used in the Automator, but I can't see anything about it in the manual.

best way to trigger / reset another sequencer module via nerdseq
Posted by: converted - 02-10-2023, 01:19 PM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (3)

hi , I'm still new to nerdseq and enjoying playing with it

I wanted to ask (as suggested here as a possibility) - what is the best way to clock /reset another sequencer device via the nerdseq without using up
mod tracks in the process.

I know the obvious would be to take the master clock / rest out from the nerd to the respective module, but I want to be able to sequence when the clock trig/reset to the respective module - plays or not - as part of an arrangement on the NERD rather than have it running all the time.

example - I have a qu-bit bloom and I want that to run a pattern/sequence of its own  - but control when it starts/stops in arrangement via the nerdseq.

I have achieved this before via other sequencers - by creating a pattern with a clock trigger /reset (two gates required) and then I arrange that pattern like any pattern on the sequencer in a song arrangement.

with the nerd - hopefully I don't have to compromise using a mod track specifically for this - I do have the expanders - both CV and trig + midi

any thought?

  CV/Trigger recording for expanders
Posted by: LimbicFold - 02-09-2023, 09:09 PM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (5)

Cheers!
I would love to be able to record CV and Gate data from the inputs to the CV/Trigger expander modules, regardless of which channel they are on. I am currently able to record into only the first column of the expanders if they are set up on tracks 1-6, but not at all if I set them up on track 7 & 8. Ideally, I would love to be able to set up my expanders on channel 7 & 8, and then set the 4 inputs to record into different columns on the expanders.

Thanks! you rule! Heart

  Transpose Issue
Posted by: Ruido - 02-09-2023, 08:32 AM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (2)

Hi,

I came back from weekend and the next time I started NerdSeq all Tracks 1/V outputs did not work as expected. After a time a transposed in Seq.Mode every track with 24 semitones and behaviour was like before.

I have to questions:

- is there another option to transpos a track beyond that, because I'd prefer to have every track on C0 for the specific OSC?
- did I miss something in the setup screens where to setup this correctly?

As you can see I am quite new to NS and still learning daily Wink  and I did not find an earlier thread in the forum.

So, if anyone has a tip for me or a link into a thread where this was formerly discussed, you'd really help me ;-)

Just wondering if anyone is doing this

Doubling track counts using 2 x nerdseq

I saw somebody do similar with 2 polyend trackers

  MIDI audition with velocity
Posted by: Liquidcolor - 02-06-2023, 11:06 PM - Forum: Feature requests - No Replies

I'd like to be able to audition MIDI notes with set velocity with "shift OK." As it is, it appears MIDI notes are auditioned at full velocity.

Also, in a MIDI pattern, a way to record CC to only one FX column so three different CC's can be recorded. Doesn't need to be simultaneously.

  Error 10 9d177dc
Posted by: Renzki - 02-06-2023, 09:20 AM - Forum: Beauty and less important bugs/glitches - Replies (5)

Hi there,

It seems that this error is not mentioned on this forum according to the search tool. It is happening regularly, every now and then, if I'm using the sampler. This error has popped up 3 times so far, in the middle of a jam session. It's not disabling my work so far.

Is there anything I need to do if I want to avoid it?

I have no extensions hooked up at this stage.

Cheers!
