Can you "forward" a trigger from the CV Inputs to MR16
Posted by: visti - 01-18-2023, 10:06 AM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (1)

I recently got a Torso T-1 and I'd love it to add some hands-on randomness to my NerdSeq sequences, but since everything is hooked up permanently: is it possible to receive the triggers on the CV ins and "live" play them out to the MR16 trigger channels?

Make Shuffle Optional on Clock Output

Be handy if the shuffle could be optional on the clock output, or possibly track specific.

How to switch envelopes for a track using FX?
Posted by: spif - 01-12-2023, 09:44 PM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (3)

Is there way to switch an envelope for a track within a pattern or patch?

Let's say I'm using Envelope 1 for one pattern and want to switch to Envelope 2 in another pattern on the same track. I know I can change the values of the ADSR-parameters but the only place I can set the destination of the envelop is in the envelop screen - there doesn't seem to be an option in the pattern FX nor in the Patch screen to change the destination (or source) of the Envelope. Is that correct? Or is there another ay to do this?

  Longer pattern lengths?
Posted by: spif - 01-10-2023, 11:47 AM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (4)

Not sure if this has been discussed before (couldn't find any threads with on it) or if there are other ways to handle my issue with the current 64  step pattern length.

I like having self-contained conceptual patterns, like a verse being one pattern and a chorus being another one. However with the current pattern length I am often dividing these sections (like a verse) into multiple patterns. This wouldn't be too much of a hassle, but I run into workflow issues when live recording into patterns. When I'm live recording, it's not possible to record from one pattern to the next and will loop the same pattern from the start. So it becomes cumbersome to live record a verse or a chorus that is longer than 64 steps.

One work around I've started to use is to /2 chord patterns and thus effectively get longer patterns lengths - but this introduces sync issues with other tracks of a different length.

Curious to how other people are dividing their patterns and maybe I'm overlooking something here.

Thanks for any help.

Also curious to hear if expanding the pattern length is possible - memory wise etcetera.

[NO BUG] Auto Gate On not working
Posted by: Elektro GOWK - 01-08-2023, 06:19 PM - Forum: Beauty and less important bugs/glitches - Replies (3)

Hi,

I have a problem since a while with the Auto Gate On function. Even before the update 1.27c. I can’t remember when it started. I know it had worked once. When a note is played (single note in 64 Steps) the trigger output is set to 5V and stays there. I have to fill in a gate off, so it sets back to 0V.
The settings are
Auto Gate on Note is = ON
Auto Gate Timeout = 6
Auto Fill in Trigger = OFF

What else could it be?

Ciao

Play second sample of track 7 to output 8
Posted by: Airell - 01-06-2023, 11:31 AM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (1)

Hi there,

I would like to know if it is possible to play the second sample of track 7 on the 8 output. I have been looking around in the FX section of it, but I could find such 'feature'.
I have occupied track 8 for the trigger 16 expander.

Cheers, Ian

  Quantizing via a CV input
Posted by: joesh - 01-03-2023, 03:33 PM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (5)

After seeing a Westlicht Performer in action, I'm busy working on finding out more about the possibilities using CV inputs. I'd be curious to understand how the quantizing works when plugging in a source.

Firstly, in the settings for live input I see you can set the CV input to "Quantize to CV, MOD, TRIGGER MOD 1..6". Where does the quantizing take place? As an example, if you put an LFO into CV input 1 and then route it through to CV output 1, how do we quantize it? Is it done by using a Table set to some quantized setting (example a C major scale), or is there something I've missed?

Secondly, if I play in some notes from a keyboard, will they (or can they) be quantized in the same way - meaning if I misplay something on a keyboard is there a quantize setting that will rectify my note? (**)

(**) I know that the quantize setting on the Table screen will quantize random notes from the main pattern screen, but I'm not sure if this is also linked to the CV input too.

 Thanks in advance.

BTW, is it not possible to 'here' the CV played in without recording it? I'm not sure if I've got something set up incorrectly, but it seems I only get to hear what I'm playing in when I press record. Is this correct?

  Load menu

I was just wondering if you could tweak the load menu so that it comes up in alphabetical order?

:: Maybe someone already asked for this, but I couldn't see it.
