Unexpected behaviour when editing FX values in More CV expander
Posted by: Acheface - 04-12-2020, 09:59 AM - Forum: Beauty and less important bugs/glitches - Replies (1)

I noticed the following unexpected behaviour when editing the FX values of the More CV 16 expander:
I was setting MOD values for some tracks there and noticed that the value field consists of two columns (this is normal, I think).
The right column responds as expected to changing the value, i.e. SHIFT-right or SHIFT-left for small changes and SHIFT-up or SHIFT-down for bigger jumps.
The left column, however, only seems to respond to SHIFT-right. SHIFT-left doesn't work and neither do SHIFT-up or SHIFT-down.
As a result of this, it takes a while to set the value from 0000 to 0FFE.

Don't know if this possible bug is specific to the More CV 16 expander, as I didn't investigate further.

  Live CV output for Patches

not sure if this is at all possible? but would be great if MOD outputs changed live when changing values in the patch screen...

  Sequencer Pairings?
Posted by: dennis - 04-08-2020, 04:07 PM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (2)

Hi there, are you using the nerdseq with some other sequencer? or quantizer / other module pairing with nerdseq?

i thought about pairing it with a mutable marbles to get some more hands on random / chaos involved and fast melodies. maybe use it as master clock to have a  knob for main BPM. what do you think about it?

cheers, Dennis

  Multiple clock outs
Posted by: laxiton - 04-07-2020, 10:15 PM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (2)

Hi, noob here :-)
This might be something really obvious I'm missing but going through the manual I could not find a way to use the outs to send multiple clock outs, or copies of the main one. Is this possible?

  Ability to rename Track names
Posted by: theotteryears - 04-07-2020, 05:29 PM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (8)

so instead of modular/midi/sample we can rename them to something more useful...

I use a track just for patches, one for triggers etc

Change ROW highlight amount on sequencer screen

like in the pattern screen, would be useful to see the sequencer screen divided like this.

  Time signatures
Posted by: theotteryears - 04-05-2020, 02:13 PM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (1)

How do you get Nerdseq to work with alternate time signatures?

I'm writing a song in 11/8 and making use of the BRK command. thats all fine.

But the main synchronisation point of the master clock is all wrong. I tried setting the live quantise to 11 and 22, but all that happens is the main clock (top bar at top of screen) just counts 11 then 11 etc then goes wrong as it resets once it hits 64 steps.

this makes it really hard to launch a new island of patterns at the right place.

Can you advise how I can make this work?

  Scroll thru all patterns
Posted by: skybox - 04-02-2020, 08:09 PM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (1)

This kind of goes hand in hand with my screen snap/scroll request but I would love if when you have multiple patterns chained together you could jump from pattern to pattern inside the pattern screen, for example, lets look at this chunk of patterns in track 1:

Let's say I get to the bottom of Pattern 50, and press cursor down (or if I was anywhere in the last 16 steps and pressed page down):

I would end up into the top of Pattern 59, which was right beneath it:

The same effect would apply going up, of course, and would be extra handy if the scroll function behaved the same way as well.

How to trigg polyphony recordig via MIDI in CV16?
Posted by: cavimaster - 04-01-2020, 07:38 PM - Forum: NerdSEQ Expanders - Replies (6)

Hello,

I love my CV16 expander, you can super easily do polyphony and recording chords via a MIDI keyboard, it's a dream!
However, I did not find how to record the gate / trigger of notes ...

Example: CV16> track 1 + 2 + 3 CV recording and track 4 the trigger

But I can not. I have to record with the notes continuously and put triggers or envelopes by hand afterwards.

Any suggestions welcome?

Thank you !
