  Pattern delete
Posted by: Barney Rubble - 11-18-2018, 09:05 PM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (7)

On a track I select an isolated non-active pattern while the sequencer is playing. I try to delete and nothing happens. I can change this pattern to one I created earlier and I can create a new pattern but I can not delete it.

Is this a bug or intended behaviour?

cheers

  Nerdseq + Drum Sequencer clock " issue " ?
Posted by: CarmeloP - 11-12-2018, 07:36 PM - Forum: Beauty and less important bugs/glitches - Replies (2)

Hi XOR,

I'm having the strange situation when the Nerdseq is the master and the Erica Synth Drum Sequencer the salve.
For example, the BPM on the NERDSEQ = 130, on the Erica Synth Drum Sequencer, the BPM = 126 & 127. This cause a BPM issue on the Erica Synth Drum Sequencer changes the Pattern (I did contact them too).
But in the Drum Sequencer forum, it looks like the clock in of the drum seq (4PPQ clock) is inferior to the nerdseq (24 ppqn). I did contact Erica Synth too.
So I don't know who has to take care of this ?  Undecided

  USB keyboard support?
Posted by: shledge - 11-12-2018, 10:48 AM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (4)

Would love this since it would take me back to using Amiga trackers - would also help make putting in notes much quicker.

Has there been any plans to implement an expander for this? I'd buy one in an instant.  Cool

Just implemented the first Midi sequencing basics. Far away from being ready, but it works and it is already instant fun!

Offline Editor For Project Files (*.NRD)
Posted by: gromler - 10-31-2018, 04:47 PM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (52)

Hi Everyone,
This has been mentioned in another thread and has been acknowledged by XORAdmin as something that could potentially one day see the light of day.  I just noticed that it was not mentioned here in the Feature Requests section, so I wanted to give it a solid base here.

Here is a link to the original topic created in the General Questions area:
https://forum.xor.eu/showthread.php?tid=132

An offline editor for the *.NRD hex files would be very useful for creating and modifying my projects.  Currently, you can open the project file in a hex editor like HxD and see a few things, but modifying this file is a bit confusing and will potentially damage the project if not done right.

I would love the ability to simply be able to add, rename, copy, and modify patterns and sequences.  It also would be awesome to be able to lay out the table on the sequencer screen to more quickly organize large live sets.

Don't get me wrong, the interface on the Nerdseq is really well done and I love it.  There could just be a little time savings done when polishing up some tracks and sets.  Smile

Thank you!

  Modulator parameters
Posted by: dionnaki - 10-30-2018, 01:54 PM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (1)

Can someone tell me the parameter numbers to automate the automators.
How do you reset an LFO and change it's parameters using FX, patch, table or mod output?

I am finding it difficult to use these automators.

Thanks.

Delete the trigger when you delete a note
Posted by: CarmeloP - 10-30-2018, 10:42 AM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (6)

Hi Thomas,
One feature that I would love is when you put a note, you are able to automatically add a trigger of 40 but when you delete the note the trigger stay. Would be very cool that the trigger goes away when you delete a note [Image: 1f642.png]
Thank you for your work mate, love it !

Smile BPM Divider/Multiplier per channel/pattern
Posted by: Barney Rubble - 10-29-2018, 08:28 PM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (6)

I find myself thinking the pattern FX BPM is a local channel setting but.......it's a global setting the same as the Tempo setting in project setup - If I delete a FX BPM it resets the Global BPM  to 1 bpm and I expect it to revert previous bpm of 120.

Ok that's confusing but I can get used to it [Image: smile.png]

Instead of multiple instances of the global BMP in table, FX, and Project Setup. How about a divider/multiplier FX referencing the Global BPM on either a per pattern or per channel basis?

I know I can use the groove steps to achieve something similar but editing individual steps on the fly is not much fun.

There are similar requests for a feature of this type in other threads but none appear to address the global/local issue above

cheers

  what is "gate" in nerdseq
Posted by: Johnny - 10-23-2018, 04:28 PM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (5)

We have triggers, i understand. But how i can make gates with nerdseq?
Like trigger is really short pulse which doesnt work with for example ADSR.
now i have to make gates with MOD outs.
Like giving a trigger to it, keeping it open for x amount and then close it.

Am i doing something wrong?

cheers, johnny
