  Alternate color replacement keycaps
Posted by: tapiocatwilight - 09-21-2023, 05:08 PM - Forum: Everything Else - No Replies

I was PMed about this and thought maybe others might be interested.
A previous post guided me to the supplier. (thanks!) Get them from Mouser:

Marquardt Switch Hardware
826.000.071
826.000.081
826.000.091

Don't have at hand what part number is what color.
I got green ones as well as red and yellow, but the green was kind of meh.
when I looked, they only had the four colors. White or blue might have been nice, maybe.

The green "start" one might go in next time it comes out of the rack, but it's tedious.
You'll have to take the faceplate off to change the keycaps.
As beloved admin told us, forget about changing the small oval buttons, in that they're quite delicate.

I added befaco nuts to my set because I've got really messed up vision and the color helps me keep things straight.
Do they *look* better? Not sure about that... Maybe.

Using nerdseq for amp envelope AND filter envelope
Posted by: babylonrisingofficial - 09-21-2023, 03:18 PM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (1)

Hey everyone so I'm running four tracks on the nerdseq and using an envelope for the vca/amp on each voice through the internal ADSR in nerdseq, I was wondering what the best way to incorporate filter envelopes too, could I use the trigger out on those channels since they're not being used as I'm using the adsr internally or the mod out?

  Randomize next pattern?
Posted by: kriskeyman - 09-21-2023, 04:47 AM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (2)

Hello, I have two patterns set up in one track as follows.

00
01

I want 00 to playback as ‘FORWARD’, and 01 to playback as RND KEEP.

How is this accomplished?

  Safety layer above shift+play
Posted by: shield - 09-20-2023, 07:25 PM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (2)

Hi,

During every single performance I play with nerdseq I will eventually be hitting the shortcut shift+start accidentally (I have fat fingers). Would it be possible to optionally protect it, similarly to shift+stop?

  Live Channel Record Switching
Posted by: Chess1 - 09-14-2023, 12:44 AM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (4)

I know it is possible to select the midi record channel lanes in the settings, but it would be very nice if there was a way to do live midi recording lane switching while in the heat of the moment.

  Routing triggers > Mod out
Posted by: joesh - 09-10-2023, 03:14 PM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (22)

I'm trying to find (in the manual) how to route the trigger(s) of a track to it's Mod out - to be more clear, I'd like to duplicate the exact triggers of Track 1 > Mod output, so that I can send them to a VCA. Now, I know that in the new firmware you can route anything to anywhere you need. However, I have a feeling it's possible to do this in a more simple way, but looking through the FX and Nerd-Menu I just don't see how it's done. Can someone tell me how this is possible (if it is)?

Thanks in advance.

  Gate > Input > MIDI?
Posted by: kriskeyman - 09-10-2023, 04:21 AM - Forum: General Questions - No Replies

Is it possible to send a gate on/off to an input and map it to track mute for a specific track? e.g. MIDI track?

I’m looking for a way to mute MIDI tracks with CV, by either sending a mute to the track (ceasing MIDI output for the track), or by velocity 00 which I’ve heard ymmv, or by another means?

Thanks for the help with any suggestions!

Tongue How to use midi to input sequences
Posted by: Holloweyes - 09-07-2023, 09:16 PM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (1)

I am having some issues getting midi to work properly. I am using the game pad midi expander with a niftykeyz as my midi source, I can only seem to input a single midi note into a pattern at a time and then have to use the navigation to move to the next step to input the next note. I also cannot seem to get the midi track to accept more than one note of the 4 lanes, is it possible to input 4 note chords to record midi patterns for midi tracks?

Smile Send MIDI PC as an fx command
Posted by: nsolarz - 09-01-2023, 03:31 AM - Forum: Feature requests - No Replies

I have use case where I want to send program changes to a midi device but I don't want to switch a whole track to midi. It would be nice to be able to send midi PC (or any midi) messages as a track fx command

Big Grin Din-sync 24
Posted by: FLABANOID - 08-30-2023, 02:12 PM - Forum: NerdSEQ Expanders - Replies (1)

This tracker, the
NERDSEQ
is the most significant
piece of gear I have encountered
that has assisted me to inject
my imagination into physical reality!
to think I started in trackers
to be blown away by the daw…
XOR ELECTRONICS
has made my dreams a reality by
taking me “back to the future!!!”

Now, Does the Nerdseq transmit din-sync 24 through the 5 pin din “midi output” socket on the i/0 expander?

-quite of topic “is usb support for sega gamepad a consideration?”  (Not suggesting it should be)

I was fraudulently sold a usb pad… they insist their “original” reference is directly specifies “It is an authentic original USB gamepad” despite having images of the Sega plug & socket in their description. I was authentically originally disappointed. But that didn’t last long as I had purchased it as a spare ;)
