MIDI / Sega expander - Sega port language

I fully acknowledge that this is on me, but it's kinda crazy how hard it is to find out which Sega controller to get for the expander.
I don't know anything about Sega products, having never owned one, so when I got the NerdSeq+Midi expander, I was like "Oh cool, I'll get the controller, just to see if I like it" and I order a Sega Saturn controlller.
I did this because everywhere on the product page, it just says Sega controller.
Information about the expander port appears a handful of times in the (full) NerdSeq manual, but only once does it specify that it's actually a Genesis port. It seems like that's an important distinction. I learned that they were different when my controller arrived and I unpacked it. It kinda seems like your mom calling your consoles a Nintendo well past the PS2/Xbox 360 era.
So, although I know NOW, I would suggest just putting Sega Genesis on the expander page for people like me who have no idea.

Dynamically looping sections

Hi,
I’m wondering what the most efficient way is to loop sections (i.e. the entire row, multiple rows). I’ll be playing a live gig in a few weeks and would like to loop sections, mute certain tracks and create space for a live horn player to improvise over my modular composition, and then once the flow feels complete, to drop back into the remainder of the composition.
It would be nice to do it on the fly, though it would also work to have it planned out and something I could somehow toggle on and off. I tried the CBPB and row jump and it didn’t quite do what I was hoping. I was previously using STSP for individual tracks, but now realize that I can do it for the whole row. That might work, to enter it and then delete it. Seems a bit cumbersome. I’d love to control it with CV or a switch, to make it more tactile.
Is there another way, short of entering STSP and then deleting it. With Ableton, I can just move the loop brace around and turn loop on and off, which I can assign to my MIDI controller.
Thanks,
SAK

Choosing available values for Trigger/FX columns

This suggestion mostly concerns the trigger column, but is equally applicable to the FX column.
Since there are so many trigger alternatives, some of which double as personal approaches to the same idea. For instance, I always use ticks instead of ms trigs, etc. This means getting to my fav trig values is a relatively convoluted experience scrolling up/down/left/right - there's so many values! I still don't have it down after a year.
The one that has cemented itself is all the way down is gate off, all the way up is gate on - therefore they get a lot of use.
Everything else is "somewhere in the middle".
How about a setting (in the settings menu) to remove some values from the trigger column so there are less things to scroll through?
The values could still be found by pressing "OK" to enter the full list, like the FX column works right now.
Same idea goes for the FX menu! But I personally think the trigger column is more demanding.
For me this would heavily increase exploration, as I could focus on certain parts and finding them would be much faster and it would decrease mental load.

Triggering the internal sample tracks from the drum matrix

I really like the speediness of the drum matrix - is there a way to trigger the internal samples using it? I know that I'd probably still need one of the dedicated sample tracks to control parameters, I'd just like to bang out some rhythms in a quick and visually cohesive way.

Clock/Reset IN alternative functionality?

As I always use the Nerdseq as the master clock for my system I wondered if the clock & reset in could be given other functions when not using external clock?
The most amazing/useful functions would be similar to the 4 general inputs, although I suspect clock & reset in are not capable of receiving v/oct or cv anyway?
Maybe the clock in could act as a tempo control or clock divider? It would be great to be able to reset the Nerdseq while the internal clock is running too.
Not sure if anything like this is of course possible or even considered important enough to bother working on,
but it would be great to have a use for the 2 iredundant nputs when the internal clock is used.
