  Moving Dualchord to another Track
Posted by: DesignBureau - 01-16-2026, 02:15 PM - Forum: NerdSEQ Expanders - Replies (2)

I have Track 6 assigned to my Dualchord assigned to Track 6. I want to move it to Track 8.
I have no Pattern in Track 8. So no concern about the warning I woul loose those Patterns.
But how do I move the Patterns from Track 6 to 8?
Do I first assign th two Tracks to Dualchord?

  Drum matrix column colours
Posted by: rubberband - 01-14-2026, 02:45 PM - Forum: Feature requests - No Replies

It's probably a pain to implement, but one small feature that would amazing for me is being able to colour the columns in the drum matrix (or even the headers of each column?).  This could even be universal (e.g. the same colour scheme gets applied to all drum matrix patterns for a single triggers or i2C track).

It can be hard to program drums on the fly when you're using most of the available 16 tracks - being able to make columns different colours to make it easy to identify your different drum sounds, "wait, am I editing the 11th or 12th column right now?".

Thanks for all your hard work.  I absolutely love my nerdseq and it's at the center of almost everything I do in modular world.

Using the Gamepad IO-Expander port ,
Posted by: Gliou - 01-10-2026, 01:17 PM - Forum: NerdSEQ Expanders - Replies (2)

Hi Thomas and all,
If I'm not mistaken, it's not possible to use the IO-Expander at the same time as the MULTI-IO.

Couldn't there be a simple modification to use only one part of IO-Expander, the GAMEPAD part?
It's not about the price of the GamePad Expander, but I don't need anything else and ordering that seems mad.

Odd slider behavior using Sweet Sixteen to Host port of MIDI-IO
Posted by: kriskeyman - 01-09-2026, 08:00 AM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (4)

I have Sweet Sixteen going to Host port of MIDI-IO expander. All sliders light green on MIDI-IO Host LED when moved, except for slider #8. When Slider #8 is moved, the Host LED on MIDI-IO instead lights orange. No cables are plugged into slider #8 I/O on S16. Slider #8 is also not used in Mappings. This occurs with all projects.

Have I enabled something to get this behavior? Not sure why slider #8 is behaving differently.

Oddly, if I also have Touchpad connected to Host port via hub, slider #8 enables ‘F: Stop’ (lights red) when > 0.

  MIDI Recording on Sample Tracks
Posted by: 48484B - 01-09-2026, 06:48 AM - Forum: Beauty and less important bugs/glitches - Replies (8)

When I record MIDI to e.g. Dualchord Tracks the notes align well with the sequencer track steps.
However, when I record MIDI into the Sample tracks, e.g. 7/8 track the notes I play seem to get quantized differently: they usually are recorded/quantized one step late most of the time, so I have to shift them one step back manually.
I did not notice a Playback difference when playing via external MIDI, only when recording when the quantization is happening.

I did not do a proper test yet, I only played in via a MIDI keyboard via the MIDI Host connector, but found the difference quite noticable when comparing the dualchord track recording (which works OK) versus the Track 7/8 recording (which has an offset).
I am running V3.0, playback speed is normal.

  Last Used Value Consistency
Posted by: vidret - 01-07-2026, 11:40 AM - Forum: Feature requests - No Replies

I wonder if we could have some more consistency when it comes to the last used value. (SHIFT-RIGHT, right?)

For example, doing a simple delete does not make that value the last used one.
Shifting through the 'preset' values (00, FF, default) does not make that value the last used one.

I've also experienced putting down a note value like C4, I think for samples, changing the note value to C#4, and then when I move down a row and put down the last used value it's C4 again.

It'd also be nice if just pressing SHIFT on a cell that contained a value put that into the last used value!

This would speed up my process by quite a bit, and smooth things out  Smile

My setup (finally got a gamepad)

It’s one of those cheap Aliexpress ones. So nice to be relaxed, leaning back, inputting notes.

  Transposition with midi controller
Posted by: tinytuches - 12-31-2025, 07:34 PM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (1)

Hello, I am working on a DIY ‘nerdseq controller’ and I have a problem. I want to control transposition using a modulation wheel so that I only get octaves. When my potentiometer is at 50% and I switch to negative, I get -24, -48, which is perfect. But the problem is that when I go positive, I get +25, +47 transposition. I've tried many codes, but I can't get +24, +48 correctly.
Do you have a solution? Or possibly the format used? See you soon and happy New Year Smile

Drum Matrix punch in when recording
Posted by: Airell - 12-23-2025, 11:34 AM - Forum: Feature requests - No Replies

Hi,

In the Drum Matrix, you can play a selected track/sound by pressing OK.
It would be very nice if you could 'punch in' a drum rhythm this way on the selected track when it's in record mode.

Cheers, Ian
