Is it possible now somehow or at some future time to use a qwerty keyboard with the NerdSeq? I think it would make the workflow drastically faster and super fun to program.

I saw your interview about the video expander. I was wondering whether it is going to have a composite output.
Thanks for all of your tremendous work so far!

"Pause" with internal clock?

When using an external clock, it's easy to "insta-pause" the NerdSeq by just stopping the external clock. Step stays where it was until the clock starts again.
When the NerdSeq is clock master, the only way I know to "stop playing right now" is Shift-Stop, which resets the step to start of pattern.
Is there a way to stop the NerdSeq clock immediately, such that it can be restarted without resetting the step to 0?

Inputs 1 - 4: assign to any track/use plus use as precision adder/or

I noticed that there are limited settings for inputs 1 - 4 for both live and recording. For example: users can assign Sample track 7 pitch, gate, sample select, etc but sample track 8(along with tracks 5 and 6) is not an option. There also seems to be more options for input 1 - 4 recording. Is it possible to assign inputs 1 - 4 to all of the tracks?
I've set most of my projects up to use track 6 as a kick(sending pitch CV/gate, trigger and mod to a drum module) and then use tracks 7 and 8 for snare/hi hit/claps samples - the setup works really extremely well for me but I'd love to spice up these tracks using inputs 1 - 4 as precision adder/or function so that in coming cv signals from say a Turing Machine could be added to an existing pattern for doing more interesting rhythms/melodies/modulation etc.

I'm loving the Nerdseq as both a writing and performance tool for modular and one of the reasons I bought it is to use the gamepad with it. I was a little disappointed to see the only functionality the gamepad feature has is emulating the shift and arrow keys but I'm hoping to see more features in the future...
While I have several Sega controllers a hand, I also have a set of Atari 2600 controllers which use the same port size and comm protocol, and(while being limited by the number of buttons) they do in fact work with the Nerdseq. What I'd really like to do is to use the Atari's joystick as an XY pad to control things like pitch bend, modulation rates, track fx etc in real time. Not only would this be a lot fun to perform with, it would also be pretty cool for audience members to see during a live set. In general, I'd like to set the functions of each button and the X and Y of the data from the gamepad port to whatever I like.
Is this something that can be implemented?

No MIDI pitch bend when inputs are set to record?

in firmware ver 1.21 A:
I noticed that pitch bend using a MIDI controller(in my case an Arturia Keystep) only works when MIDI Channels are set as track input only and not when set as track record. Is there a reason for this?
I'm also a little confused why there are 2 different modes when sequence patterns are in play mode by default and when you want to record, you have to use the record mode. Wouldn't it be simpler to just have the Input mode and just enable recording tracks when the user set the track to record mode?
