Nerd Randomize Values when empty?

Hi!
Apologize if this question had already been asked but why I cannot randomize values in a pattern if there are no values yet?
Is it not supposed to fill a step with a random value? Or have I misunderstood the feature?

Set loop inside patterns while editing

I would really love to be able to set a looping playback range in the patterns while editing.
Example: you have a 64 step sequence and only want to focus on editing steps from 17 to 32. Looping only those steps without having to play the entire sequence of all 64 steps would make precise editing a lot faster. Want to immediately hear the effect of the fx you added to a step and how it relates to the next? Loop it!
The way I see this best implemented is with the 'mark' function. Make a selection with that and use a new key combo (sorry Thomas) to only playback the selected range of steps. So something like: mark + select range + key combo to engage loop
I know I could technically set this up myself with the FX, but that would mean I have to use an fx column that I might want to use for something else in the sequence.

feature request:
a full ADSR (4 stages if possible)
if 3 stages are the maximum, no problem:
please add a "DSR" where attack is always 0
so we can create a falling / decaying envelope -> to a sustain level -> release
(usable for everything, snappy filters or spikey synths)
of course a switch to a logarhitmic scale would be very nice, too. Hasnt to be editable

Hi!
Not sure if it's mentioned either here or in the manual (I couldn't find it): it may be cool to be able to record onto subsequent patterns, thus automatically creating new ones in an island while recording instead of limiting the recording to the current looping pattern. As one can break free of the 64 steps limit while playing using islands, this feature would allow for the same liberty while recording. Not sure if it's technically possible, though.

Sync issue with NerdSeq + Tanzbar2

Hello,
Hope everybody is doing fine in these strange times
So I have an issue as my drum machine (Tanzbar2) and the NerdSeq won't start exactly at the same time, which result in a 1step delay between the 2.
Ableton sends a clock to the NerdSeq through my audio unit (Motu), and also sends a midi clock to the Tanzbar :
- For the NerdSeq, I tried with a normal 1/16 clock, and also with the 24ppqn clock : this is made with the CV Clock Out module from Ableton
![[Image: 2.png]](https://i.ibb.co/DQ2b9Mq/2.png) ![[Image: 1.png]](https://i.ibb.co/6PmPKYq/1.png)
- For the Tanzbar, I tried with its USB input, and also with a midi bridge (M-Audio Midisport 2x2) into the midi in port.
In both cases, the NerdSeq still starts 1 step later than the Tanzbar
I've been using the NerdSeq alongside Ableton's midi clips, both would start at the same moment without any delay
Example : If I play 2 identicals regular 4/4 kick pattern, one on the NerdSeq and one in Ableton, it's perfectly in sync
My questions :
- Am I doing something wrong ?
- Is it a common issue ?
- Is there a simple way to fix it ?
- Would the NerdSeq midi expander fix it ?
Thank you for your time :-)
Feel free to ask questions if something is not clear

Just discovered this very handy shortcut
excellent for cleaning a pattern from wrong notes.
BUT I have one wish, could you add "hold" functionality here? I mean, if you HOLD Shift+Up+Delete, then it would be great to quickly re-trigger the function ,like the way if you hold cursor down, you will quickly scroll down
