  Sample track volume behaviour
Posted by: Barney Rubble - 02-08-2019, 03:07 PM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (2)

In a sample track create a pattern and it sets default volumes. If I then delete a volume value to "= =" the sample still plays. If I set the volume to 0 then it's silent.

Is there a reason for vol  setting "= =" to play the sample I was kind of expecting it to default to silence.

Cheers

Thumbs Down Oscillator "Auto" Tuning
Posted by: skybox - 02-04-2019, 04:45 AM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (2)

Would it be possible to add an auto-tune routine so that you could save profiles for each oscillator, to compensate for their non-linearity?

Patch one of the CV outs to the 1v/oct in of the oscillator, tune the oscillator to be a precise note, then connect a simple waveform out of the oscillator (square or something) to the clock or reset in (depends on which is connected to a pin of the microcontroller that can do hardware interrupts) and then have it go through the routine, increasing the CV on the output and measuring the resulting freq of the oscillator

Any clue?
Thanks,

So, let's talk about audio file format
Posted by: Fsuchs - 02-02-2019, 06:13 PM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (4)

Hi all!
short thread, just wanted to know what are the audio file format that are read by the Nerdseq....
I'v noticed that in the memory card, the stock samples are .RAW unsigned...
But, as i was watching the firmware thread, i noticed that file compatibility seemed to be enhanced.

so, finally, what are the format supported?
And, most of ll, what kind of software do u use to make sample conversions?

Thanks Smile

  Horizontally flipped Nerdseq
Posted by: skybox - 02-02-2019, 03:08 AM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (4)

Not really a request, but just a thought: how realistic/possible would it be to have a Nerdseq where the CV/Trig/Mod outs were on the left side of the unit?  Just a thought for those who have considered working two units in their arsenal.  I noticed that the majority of users have them in the far left of the rig to minimize clutter over the buttons/screen and it would make sense to have a flipped version if you were to put one in the right corner instead.

  One Shot Pattern Ability?
Posted by: gromler - 02-01-2019, 02:31 AM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (2)

Hi Everyone,
Is there the ability to add a break to a pattern that will make it just play once and stop?  I would like to use this for a cymbal crash or just a quick fill.  This could very well be super basic functionality that I just have not figured out yet.  :Smile Thank you!

*SOLVED* Table column in Track 6 fires Trigger 1 (1.18RC1)
Posted by: skybox - 01-31-2019, 04:15 AM - Forum: Beauty and less important bugs/glitches - Replies (5)

A very specific and weird bug.  Whenever I am in Track 6 and and press play, when it's time for the table to trigger, it sends a gate/trigger to fire to Trigger 1.  For example I have a simple arp set up as Table 01, when the scrolling reaches the note tied to it, it instead fires Trigger 1.

Confirmed with multiple saves and when I unplugged Trigger 1 it no longer fired.

Dear users,

please contact me directly through the contact form on the XOR Website or through the email you got with the NerdSEQ for any hardware related issues. I will help you immediately.
Hardware issues are very rare and belong to customer support. They are no firmware bug related issues.

Thanks
Thomas
