I would so very much love to be able to record directly into nerdseq. Is this even something the nerd can be capable of and would it ever even be considered? I'm aware of all the limitations of memory. by FMing and pitching samples, synth waves and manipulating with fx, envelopes etc I can do things with this sampler that I've never seen possible with another. And if the recordings are loud enough eight bit sounds fantastic. ...and that's all before you start throwing around sample blocks. oh lord it gets nuts!

[NO BUG] Longer Delayed Triggers Holding Gate Open

Hi
On the More Triggers expander, if a delayed trigger is set to a value higher than 5ms, it seems to be holding the gate open, rather than just triggering a delayed gate (e.g. 10ms post the trigger etc)
This is when triggering from within a trigger 16 track.
To Test: Make a new pattern, set a track to trigger 16 and try delayed triggers greater than 01 ( e.g more than 5ms).
Cheers
R.

Handling FX changes between patterns?

I’m running into problems when I use FX changes in one pattern as they carry over to the next pattern. Specifically, I’m using the built in Automator envelopes, I change the attack peak or other parameters of an envelope in one pattern, then it’s stuck at that setting when the next pattern plays.
Q 1: is there an easy way to reset the envelope on a pattern change?
Q 2: would it be better to create two more envelopes and assign them with FX to replace the default envelope in one pattern? Is this possible?

I find that, after working a while, I can end up with many patterns. Sometimes, I can create patterns by accident, anyone hit shift + OK by accident?
Naming patterns is great and helps keep track of them. Currently I’m naming things with Part + Voice. Something like A1 = Part A voice 1.
Even with careful naming, I’ll end up with extra patterns that I haven’t used, created by accident, or created to test an idea but didn’t use in the final composition.
Question 1: is there way to view a list of the patterns contained in a project?
Question 2: Is there a way to delete patterns that you aren’t using?

Can a track/pattern play twice?

I have a project with a track that has a 64 step pattern, when I play it, it always plays twice before continuing to the pattern.
I must done this by accident, I don’t remember setting anything to making this happen. I can’t seem to find option, setting, or FX that makes this happen.
This is a useful feature, I just don’t know how I got this to happen, and for this project, it makes track 3 out of sync with the other tracks.

I’m trying to add some dynamics. I’d like to use different envelopes or changes the attack or sustain on different notes.
Q: is it possible assign different envelopes to a pattern? Nerdseq allows you to trigger an envelope from a channel and set the output jack. I’d like to either change the dynamics of an envelope or swap the envelope that is triggered and output to a particular jack per note.
Using CV16 it’s possible to set a different envelope per step. Id like to do something like this with the built in Nerdseq envelopes.

Hi,
First off let me say what a wonderful piece of engineering the NERDSEQ is. When I think about how much work and expertise went into making this system it is truly amazing.
I use PATCHES that set open CV (1-6) and XMAP to set CV16 ports to preset/automation values. This gets complex with CV/PATCHES/XMAP involved to adjust one setting. And, as previously mentioned, sometimes there are issues where the CV16 doesn't update.
SO, it would be terribly cool to have a command that sets CV16 values directly from a MODULAR track, the same way a modular track can set all the CV/Trigger/MOD values on the base unit. Something like:
FX:
CVEXT 2020800 -> set NSA 2 CV16 port 3 to 0x800
Thanks for your consideration!
