"Autogate" style triggers

I love the behaviour of auto gate where it retriggers even when there's no GATE OFF message - from the manual : "the Gate will also automatically go to Off and On again if no note off was set but a new note is playing, this to retrigger a new note. "
Is there any way to do this with a trigger 16 output?
Eg if you have trigger FE followed by another FE , the gate just stays on , there is no retriggering.
Is there some way to have a long gate like this but have it retrigger each time?
actually using "E0" to stop a gate instead of "00" stops it at the latest possible moment... this is a good solution!

DIN SYNC ISSUES

I’ve been rewiring things and have come across a glitchy behavior using Nerdseq clock input set as DIN SYNC. I stumbled into this as I was shifting from using my modular DAW-less with Nerdseq as the master clock, back into DAW to recording some tracks.
Previously, I believe I was using ModClock 24 and I would have to manually get patterns ready to play each time choosing the patterns to start at, then when I started the Ableton transport it would start playing. In this mode, it doesn’t work when I send a reset (I have to unplug this) and then I have to manually reset with the shift and double click on stop, before prepping another pattern to play. Just some extra steps. With DIN SYNC it was starting and stopping very nicely at the pattern/row I chose as my launching point. Just a few steps more convenient.
Only issue is that now it will randomly glitch - after variable periods of time, the playback just stops. I’ve attached a video of this. As well, it will randomly stop and show all the white indicators (that indicate a pattern is playing) lit up on each and every pattern (but no pattern will play).
It is fantastic when it works, but works no longer than a couple of minutes. I tried taking my 8 bit do receiver out, as I thought it might be sending some sort of errant signals (sometimes when I plug it in, it starts playback of patterns), but this made no difference. Any idea what’s happening?
It won’t let me share my video file directly (36 MB), so here’s a link:

Here’s an image of another round, where it had a different glitch, with all the white bars:
Thanks!

I would love to be able to play a chord on my Launchpad then have it voice rotate across several tracks for poly recording. So far I have been recording 1 note on each of the tracks making chords which is rather slow.
If this is already possible please let me know so I can facepalm my ignorance then enjoy this feature.
Cheers

Is there any way to change the fine-tune of a sample? I can only seem to change the semitone of it. I am not trying to create a sequence of fine-tuning but, rather just get the fundamental/base of the sample so I can then accurately use it. I am aware of how to do this on my computer before bringing it into the Nerdseq Mico SD but, I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.
Thanks

Just what the thread subject says. It seems like it would make more sense to be fractions of the row length with something like 10 being 1/16 of the row length and no repeats. While something like 52 would be 5/16 of the patterns row length and 2 repeats. And F0 would be just "ON" for the duration of the row.

Is it possible to save the Input configurations and/or the clock output? I like to set the CV ins to CV Cursor/Gate and use 24ppqn clock output. I end up having to set this every time. Is it possible to make it a default?

Anyone using NERDSEQ to control ES-9 Mixer via MIDI?

I’ve been gearing up to get a Faderfox EC4 to control the internal mixer in the ES-9 in standalone mode. If there isn’t too much stepping due to the resolution, I would want to tweak this live in a performance setting. But when working on compositions outside the DAW, I like being able to automate fades and such, and want to see how well the NERDSEQ would work for this as an alternative to an external MIDI controller.
The only mixer module/VCA’s I have is a Kona Electronik Field Kit FX. It works well, sending modulation to it and then applying this to the mixer channel VCA’s, but then I end up with just one output, versus the multi tracking the ES-9 allows with it’s separate in’s and outs. With the NERDSEQ and Field Kit FX route, I have been able to get a nice smooth fade in, with the modulation output and glide on. Would be great to be able to apply some longer curves (e.g. logarithmic) to the fade, like in Ableton, rather than it being linear.
I’m wondering if anyone here has tried connecting their NERDSEQ to the ES-9 to automate mixer parameters? I would love to be able to fade sounds in and out, via cc changes from the NERDSEQ, without buying another rack to house a dedicated mixer module (I have space for one more module and am otherwise content with my small 9U of Arturia rack brute system).
There’s a 4 pin breakout on the back of the Expert Sleepers ES-9 PCB and I don’t know if there’s anyway to connect the two units from behind, or if any of the new or upcoming expanders would allow this. Something direct would be nice, otherwise I suppose I could try and get creative with my MIDI routing and my iConnect MIDI4+ box, which is a bit overloaded and capped off with devices that have no MIDI through (it’s been fun using the NERDEQ to start loops on my pedal board and such, in sync with the modular and synths).
Also just curious if any of you have tried it - the NERDSEQ and ES9 mixer - and whether it’s worth the effort.

Plug a NerdSeq output to a NerdSeq input

Hi, is it safe to do so in any cases?
Few times i tried this it seems i had some issues and it didnt worked as expected,
Right now im trying to transpose all the tracks using a input of the NerdSeq by sending some notes with a cv output.
And after testing i have the same problem transposing only one track by an input the same way.
This should work?
Its doing some transpositions but not at all in the good range.
Every semitone increment the transposition by 3 or 4 steps.
Also i have a +1 transposition by sending the note "d-1" and a transposition of -3 by sending the note "c#1" instead of having +0 on the note "c-5"
(im not 100% shure now that transposition from input work with v/oct as it is not really clear in the manual but as i understand it is...)
I checked that im in the range 0-10 volts on the cv outputs so its not coming from here and also the track that is sending the notes for transposition is set on "avoid" so it dont transpose itself (i first tought that this was the issue).
I dont have other hardware now to send v/oct on the input to check but im quite shure i did this already before and it was fine.
By the way can it be harmful to do this kind of patching?
What about sending negative voltage to an input, can this be dangerous?
Sorry if this has been discussed before, i couldnt find anything, but i remember Thomas was saying about some kind of patching like this in some post as a workaround for something.

Program change on alternate MIDI channel

I would love to be able to send (in the FX column) a Program Change message out on a different MIDI channel than that chosen for the track (as can be done with CC).
Use case scenarios:
- I want to choose a user-recorded loop on my Hologram Microcosm pedal using PC, but otherwise do not need to dedicate a track to this pedal. While playing multiple songs during a performance, this would be so useful, as opposed to manually dialing it in each time.
- To choose presets or recorded sequences on my Novation Summit (playing monophonically) or Mother 32, when those instruments are not the main MIDI channel (i.e. when I'm using the amazing new MIDI overrule capability to sequence multiple mono voices/synths on one track)
At this point the NERDSEQ can control most of my setup, which is amazing. So much more joy when coming up with ideas, than firing up Ableton...
Thanks!
